Iranian Protests During Friday Prayers with shouts of Freedom,Freedom and Death to the Dictator

From Iran: Thousands people gather for Friday Prayers in Tehran with chants of Freedom, Freedom and Death to the Dictator.  Police and Basij Para-Military forces clamped down on protesters  firing tear gas and arresting dozens of demonstrators as one of the Main Opposition Cleric  challenging the Supreme  Leader as the country was in crisis.

President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani spoke out against the attacks against the protesters. Rafsanjani chastise the leadership hearing the people claims of voter fraud.

“There is a large portion of the wise people who say they have doubts (about the election). We need to take action to remove this doubt,” he said. “The trust that brought the people to vote in such large numbers is not there anymore. We need to return this trust.”

Meanwhile Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is demanding an apology from the United States for stoking the flames of unrest and rebellion. The American government denied the accusations.

“They tried to interfere in our elections. They talked nonsense. They were rude. They fomented aggression against people’s wealth and property,” Ahmadinejad told a crowd of thousands in the northwestern city of  Mashhad.
