Sentator Dodd and AIG: Follow the Money

An Explosive article by the Washington Times shows financials ties between Senator Christopher Dodd(D-CT) and the insurance giant American International Group better known as AIG. Documents obtain by Washington Times show that AIG financal Services division gave over $160,ooo to Senator Dodd campaign.

Fargo Flood 2009: Red River Crested on Saturday, began dropping on Sunday

For Residents Fargo,ND-Moorehead,MN area are breathing a sigh of relief this weekend after the Red River of the North crested on Saturday nearly 41 feet,  22 feet over flood stage levels. Only one levee was breached on Sunday near Oak Grove Lutheran School; which flood the campus.

Residents  attended  churches grateful that the community survived the latest flood  to hit the  area since 2001. Many would like to get on with their lives however weather forecast call for more snow on Monday.

Killing Sprees Along the East Coast Part II

On Sunday, A man went on a shooting rampage at a Nursing Home in Carthage,NC  sixty miles Southwest of  Raleigh killing 8 victims wounding two others.  The shooting took place at the Pinelake Health and Rehab Center in Carthage.

The gunman was shot and arrested. He  has been identified as Robert Stewart 45 of Moore County,NC. He has been charged 8 counts of First Degree Murder.  Stewart walked in the nursing home at 10 AM Sunday,  and began shooting randomly.

Moore County District Attorney Maureen Krueger identified the dead as: Tessie Garner, 88; Lillian Dunn, 89; Jesse Musser, 88; John Goldston, 78; Margaret Johnson, 89; Louise Decker, 98; Bessie Hendrick, 78; and Jerry Avent, age not given. One  of the injured was Carthage  Police officer Justin Garner 25, was shot in the leg by the assailant. Stewart was wounded in the exchange of gunfire officer Garner. Both Stewart and Officer Garner were recovering at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.  Garner was  has been released.

Bombshell in Motown: Rick Waggoner CEO of GM Fired by White House

A bombshell has rocked the automobile industry and an unprecedented event in American History, President Barack Obama has asked for the resignation of the Rick Waggoner  as at the CEO of  General Motors  on Sunday according to the Wall Street Journal. This come on the heel of a deadline set by White  House of plans for the car industry viability on tomorrow March 30, 2009.  The White House was not satisfied with restructuring plans by GM and Cerburus Capital Management owned Chrysler.  Waggoner a 32 year veteran of GM  who was named President and Chief Executive Officer 2000.  There have been calls his resignation by  some  in the public since last summer.  The resignation was demanded by a conference call between GM and the White House. The interim CEO is Fredrick Henderson GM’s  current Chief Operations Officer.

The White House will give second bailout of $30 billion to GM. In fact the White House was  set not to give the bailout money unless Waggoner was gone.  GM has now sixty days to get is act together or face government imposed bankruptcy.

Chrysler has even less time than GM, the government has set a 30 day deadline to come to an agreement with Italy’s Fiat, SpA or also face government  order  bankruptcy. The government will give Chrysler $6 billion if the companies strike a deal by April 30,2009

There will be a press conference by the White House on Monday.

What a very sad state of affairs that happened to the American Automobile industry once the envy of the Automobile world. General Motors and Chrysler  is nearing the end of the in by end of spring. Fiat and Chrysler need get  together very soon. GM on the other hand could disapear by the end of Spring. Both companies need to make concessions with unions and make in in job and car lines to cease to survive. Its going to be a very long long springtime.

Killing Sprees Along the East Coast Part I

The first of two killing sprees that took place on the East Coast of the US. First in A young man stabbed his three sisters in the Boston Suburb of Milton on Saturday; killing  to girls 17 and 5 year old respectively. A third was injured.  Police has identified the assailant as 23 year old Kerby Revelus of Milton.  Police killed Revelus  after stabbed and wounded Sarafina  9 year old.  Earlier Revelus stabbed his 17 year old sister Samantha Revelus  nicknamed  Princess a popular senior and honor student at Milton High School, Princess she had a scholarship and would have attended University of Massachusetts, Boston. Then there 5 year old Bianca , a preschooler who just celebrated her birthday on Friday, she was decapitated.

An unidentified Milton Police officer who saw the decapitation of Bianca and seen  Kerby Revelus  who was stabbed  Sarafina killed the young man.   The parents were not at home at the  time the attacked happened. The mother returned home and  saw the police  unraveling  crime scene tape was around the home and was notified and collapsed in family members arms. The Milton police officers who at the  in shock.. The chief of Police  Richard G Wells,Jr said the officer call two  family home on Belovar Rd a killing field,

Detroit News and Free Press will begin limited Home Delivery.

Death  of Journalism no but life support in Detroit.  Today the Detroit News and Detroit Free-Press begin to offer limited home delivery in Metro Detroit and South East Michigan. The News will be published six days a week home deliveries on Thursday and Friday only, Detroit  Free-Press will publish  a full seven days; home deliveries on Thursday Friday and Sunday.

Our situation is critical.” The Post Office lost $2.8 billion  last year and losses are expected to be bigger. One solution will cut back service to five days a week
