Nor’easter Brings Heavy Rain, High Winds, Flood Warnings, Power Outages

The Northeast US wallop with a nor’easter  causing flooding concern with heavy rain and melting snow. The storm with heavy winds caused a crane at an Atlantic City construction site to fall injuring a police office

On Saturday, the storm caused a power outage in northeast 450,000 homes and business.

Nine planes diverted to Logan International Airport in Boston. The foreign flight were intended to land at John F. Kennedy International in New York City.

New Jersey Tranist Trains service suspended due to flooding. One train on the Northeast Corridor shut down near Rahway station passengers stuck for five hours.

The northbound train heading for New York City  when it caught in flood waters.  New Jersey Transit police sent on the train while the transit agency sent a diesel engine to  the stranded train to rescue passengers to take them to Rahway station. At Rahway passenger shuttled to New York City.
