Newly elected Senator Scott Brown(R-MA) sign major legislation with Jobs Bill. The bill cost $15 billion the includes jobs for Highway construction and tax credits for employers.
Brown and four Republican senators joined 55 democrats and two independents to vote for the bill. The procedural vote sets the foundation for final passage of the bill.
Brown acknowledged the bill is not perfect but it was need people back to work.
“I hope my vote today is a strong step toward restoring bipartisanship in Washington,” he said in a statement.
The bill included tax credit for employers to hire unemployment and funding for highway projects.
