Breaking News: Senator Christopher Dodd Retiring

Washington Post Political Reporter Chris  Cillizza is reporting that embattled Senator Chris  Dodd  will announce on Wednesday that  he will not seek re-election ending a nearly 30 year career.

There’s  speculation that Dodd would retire and there was  a feeling among Democrats that he  could  not win election.

Expectation is at Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal(D) take  Dodd place.

Without  Dodd  on  the ticket Republicans will  have a  difficult time to win Connecticut.  World Wrestling Entertainment President Linda Mc Mahon an Former Representative  Rob Simmons are  the leaders in Republican race.

Dodd troubles involve in  sweetheart  loan with  Countrywide Loan  Angelo Mozilo.   Dodd  denied  that receive a  VIP mortgage.  The   Senate Ethics    committee clear him of any wrong doing.
