What A difference a day makes a classic song says.. Senator Joseph I Lieberman now says he’ll support the senate Health Care Reform bill IF the public option is not in the bill. On Sunday, Lieberman say he is against the bill in the current form which would expand Medicare by lowing the age threshold from 65 to 55.
Lieberman told reporters that if the government option Medicare expansion eliminated “I’m going to be in a position where I can say what I’ve wanted to say all along: that I’m ready to vote for health care reform.”
Sixty votes needed to move the bill out of committee and to the senate floor for a full vote.
