The Center for Disease Control and Prevention announces that 76 have died as a result of the H1N1 Virus. This comes as the school year is in second month. The CDC also 16 new cases which proves the virus hits kids very hard.
During the regular flu season between 50 and 90 kids die according to the CDCP.
Dr. Anne Schuchat of the CDCP said more death are more likely as increases nationwide.
Thirty seven state have reported widespread outbreaks up from twenty-seven.
“We are seeing more illness, more hospitalizations, and more deaths,” said Schuchat, who heads the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases.
