Chicago Nightmare: 16 Year Old Honor Student Beaten to Death

A shocking horror story of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. A 16 Year old Honor  student from Chicago’s Fenger High School was trying to help a person was being attacked was himself was beaten to death by gang members from two rival gangs.

16 year old Derrion Albert was killed after being hit by a wooden railroad tie twice and kicked while walking home from school three block away.

Derrion Albert mother says her son was being a good Samaritan  and “trying to help another student and kind of got mixed in with the crowd of the fight and he was hit.”

A witness said the fight lasted about five minutes.

People from Roseland Community Center and local business rescued the teen. But it was tool late.

UPDATE:  My Fox Chicago Four teens have been arrested in the killing of Derrion Albert and the police is searching for three other suspects in the case.

The suspectshave been identified by Chicago Police Commissioner Jody Weiss and Cook County States Attorney as 18 year old Eugene Bailey delivered the potent blow which killed Albert. The Others identified as Silvonus Shannon, 19, Eugene Riley, 18, and Eric Carson, 16 all of Chicago they are being held in Cook County Jail without bond.
