The FBI has issued a terror warning for Hotels, Transportation systems and Sports venues. The decision was based on the recent terrorism arrest in New York and Denver and fears of terrorist attacks similar to the Bali,Indonesian bombing, Mumbai,Inda attacks and Madrid,Spain Bombing over the last ten years.
In alert by the feds to police acquired by the by the Associate Press says while there is no specific plans they want law enforcement to be on guard. The venue warning came on the heels of warning from Mass Transit systems.
The alert on stadiums and entertainment venues dealt with an Al Qada training manual that quote specifically hits “blasting and destroying the places of amusement, immorality, and sin… and attacking vital economic centers” as major target Al Qada longs to wipe out.
New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly says he was not aware of the warning however “There is no specific information that would give concern for those areas,” Kelly said. “In a post 9-11 world, we’re concerned about a lot of things. As I said, we do more in this city than any other city that I’m aware of.”
Asked about if the alter should the city be concerned, Kelley said, “We have not engaged in any different practices. We do a lot everday, we devote 1,000 police officers, actually over 1,000 officers everyday to protect this city from a terrorist threat,” he said..
