Ahmadinejad Tests the World: Iranian Ships sent to International Waters

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s Iran has sent six warship into international waters including  Strait of Hormuz to show the world how it will handle foreign threats.

Admiral Habibollah Sayyari of the Iranian Navy was quoted by ISNA News Agency”Iran has dispatched six … warships to international waters and the Gulf of Aden region in an historically unprecedented move by the Iranian Navy,”  Sayyari told Iranian military leaders; this comes after Iran launched a 1200 mile surface to surface missile just days earlier.

The  ships was also placed in addition the Straits of Hormuz, The Sea of Oman and the Gulf of Aden. Two weeks earlier Iran sent two naval vessels to protect it tanker for pirates.

The Iranian Naval leader say Iran was protect it territorial waters called for the “perseverance and firmness” of the navy. The action is indicative of the country’s high military capability in confronting any foreign threat on the country’s shores,” Sayyari said.
