Blood for Oil for Real: True Reason Why Megrahi Was Released by UK

August 31, 2009 · Leave a Comment

This is unforgivable from Times of London Sunday Edition: Newly obtained letters between the British Government and Qaddafi show the release for Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, involved a deal so that British Petroleum may drill in  Libya.  Britain was in negotiations with Libya  in off shore oil exploration however talk initially broke down when Qaddafi  insisted that al Megrahi the Lockerbie Bomber would be released.

The initial deal did not include al-Megrahi, it was to be an prisoner exchanged be between the UK and Libya. The talks began in 2007. However the talks broke down because Qaddafi want al Megrahi.  UK Prime Minister Gordon Calling it in the interest of Britian, Brown capitulated to Qaddafi  so long that al-Megrahi was not given a hero’s welcome.  And of course Qaddafi did a bait and switch by flying al-Megrahi on the dictator personal jet and welcomed by cheering crowds waving flags in Tripoli Airport in the Libyan Capitol.

There has been call for Gordon Brown to resign by the Tories  and the public. So far Brown has not heeded the call. This has added to the woes that have plagued the Brown Government. The bank  collapse and nationalization of Northern Rock, Lloyds TSB, etc,;  The financial scandals in the Brown Government this may be the staw that break the camel’s back . Some are suggesting this will led the government to fall only time will tell.

Rep. Dianne Watson Holds up Cuba Medical Care as Role Model While Playing the Race Card.

August 29, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I got to tell you as a black man it sickens me about our politicians (my congresswoman is Loretta Sanchez that doesn’t say much) But I cant stand politician who plays the race card. Representative Diane Watson at a town hall goes on a rant saying “They are spreading fear and they’re trying to see that the first president who looks like me — fails.”

This was caught on tape by KABC-AM 790 reporter Micheal Linder who was the only reporter there. Linder broke the story on KABC’S John Phillips Show.

Whenever something go wrong to us we play the race card, Just last week Governor David Patterson(D-New York) blamed a racist media trying push  him out of the Governors Race in 2010 and they are after fellow Governor Deval Patrick and President Barack Obama as well.

These calls once again makes our community look thin skinned people, looking for klan members every where we go. And that white folks are out to get me.  I could blame my problems on my white friends and acquaintances instead I blamed myself for screwing up my self esteem ( tried to get to tv news years ago each time I review the tape I cringe. I did not try again to practice to make the tape I let fear rob me of life and success. )

Look there is racism overt and covert I experience the overt ( I may have experienced the covert I don’t know) But I do know We can’t keep crying racism.  People are tired it and it going to be a very very long  3 1/4 years left of this government and resentment is growing tremendously.  Lets give it  a rest before it’s too late.

And By the way Congresswoman Watson is Clueless. Earlier on this blog  via Gateway Pundit pointed out that Cuba’s vaunted health care  only works on paper especially if you are tourist or high up in the communist party in Cuba. Pictures of Cubas hospital and clincs is abysmal, decaying and in sufficient to help the public.  There are shortages everywhere.

Confidentially, King-Harbor Urgent Care ( Formerly King Drew Medical Center) is the laughing stock of the LA County Health Department. Incompetence, tartness, absenteeism, employee physical fights, employee stealing from the hospital dispensary,  patients dying do to poor medical skills hence the nick name “Killer King . All this  while Watson was in the state assembly and the state senate and many black politician defend the hospital  because the serve the poor in Watts and South Los Angeles it was downgraded in2007 to a urgent care from a hospital after it lost federal and state accreditation. Desipite the poor deserve better.

Not a sterling endorsement. Rep. Watson. The South LA, Compton,Long Beach area deserves better than you.

Senate Bill Would Give the White House Control of the Internet

August 29, 2009 · Leave a Comment

CNET Reports a new senate bill that would grant the President of the United State power to control and disconnect private computers in a time of  an emergency. This has set alarm bells to go off by internet and civil liberties groups.

There is also a revised version of the bill S.773 by Senator Jay Rockerfeller(D-West Virginia) which allow the white house to seize control over private sector  computer networks during a cybersecurity emergency.

Senate bill 773 would allow the president to “declare a cybersecurity emergency” relating to “non-governmental” computer networks and to what ever it take to protect the nation.  The bill has provision to create a federal certification in Cybersecurity professionals.

First Amendment advocates were  alarmed of the provisions think the redraft, while improved, remains troubling due to its vagueness,” said Larry Clinton, president of the Internet Security Alliance,  their members includes Verisign, Verizon, Nortel and Carnegie-Mellon University.

“It is unclear what authority Sen. Rockefeller thinks is necessary over the private sector. Unless this is clarified, we cannot properly analyze, let alone support the bill.”

A spokesperson for Senator  Rockerfeller declined to comment. A source that is aware of the bill compare what President Bush did immediately after 9/11 terrorist attacks by stopping air traffic. The senate source  says the government is concerned about an attack to the electrical grid via a broadband connection.

This comes on a the heels of a statement by President Obama in May where he announces that the government in not prepared  to handle these attacks. The White House  still has not hire a cybersecurity officer and a cyber security aid stepped down in less than three month on the post.

Meanwhile The Free speech advocacy group Electronic Frontier Foundation says the project has raised eyebrows in the legislation. Lee Tien, a senior staff attorney with the in San Francisco. “As soon as you’re saying that the federal government is going to be exercising this kind of power over private networks, it’s going to be a really big issue,” he says.

The most controverisal part of proposition is section 201 which permits the president to “direct the national response to the cyber threat” if necessary for “the national defense and security.” Also the administration to map out private network to be critical country and  the these entities “shall share” with the federal government.

The language has changed but it doesn’t contain any real additional limits,” EFF’s Tien says. “It simply switches the more direct and obvious language they had originally to the more ambiguous (version)…The designation of what is a critical infrastructure system or network as far as I can tell has no specific process. There’s no provision for any administrative process or review. That’s where the problems seem to start. And then you have the amorphous powers that go along with it.”

According to The Patient Association of UK,over the last six years claimed hundred thousands of patients were treated with disrespect . The association revealed the shocking  and horrible treatment to patients including:

The elderly left in pain, with in soiled bed clothes, lacking food and water, repeatedly canceled operations, miss diagnoses and arrogant staff.

One of the worst is Mid Staffordshire NHS Trust medical centers where 1200 patients have died due to poor treatment in urgent care.

The Patient Association has called on the  Government and Care Quallity Commission to due a top to bottom reviews of basic nursing care.

Claire Rayner President of the Patients Association and a former nurse said,“For far too long now, the Patients Association has been receiving calls on our helpline from people wanting to talk about the dreadful, neglectful, demeaning, painful and sometimes downright cruel treatment their elderly

relatives had experienced at the hands of NHS nurses.

“I am sickened by what has happened to some part of my profession of which I was so proud., Said Raymer. “These bad, cruel nurses may be – probably are – a tiny proportion of the nursing work force, but even if they are only one or two percent of the whole they should be identified and struck off the Register.”

The Patient Association points out some of the worse cases including Pamela Goddard 82 of Bletchingley, Surrey,UK. Goddard was suffering with cancer and was left in her own excrement and bed sore developed on her and her condition worsened.

Then there the case of Florence Weston of Sedgley, West Midlands,UK.85 who died after from starvation and repeated cancellations.

Barbara Young of the Care Quallity Commission said when she learned of the report,“It is absolutely right to highlight that standards of hospital care can vary from very good to poor. Many people are happy with the care they receive, but we also know that there are problems.”

“I am in no doubt that many hospitals need to raise their game in this area. Where NHS trusts fail to meet the mark, we have tough new enforcement powers, ranging from warnings and fines to closure in extreme cases. We will not hesitate to use these powers when necessary to bring improvement,” Young said.

She added,”We will be asking NHS trusts and primary care trusts how they are ensuring that the needs of patients and their safety and dignity are kept at the heart of care.”

Additionally, overstretched maternity units shut their doors to any more women in labour on 553 occasions last year.

These childbirth took place 117 of 147 NHS Trust hospital facilities according to documents obtained by the Daily Mail via the (UK) Freedom of Information (Act)data between 2007 and 2008.

Critics from the Tory Party in Great Britain point out the Labour  Party has reduced the number of maternity rooms. Andrew Lansley said that equals 2340 or 23% of maternity rooms in the UK. Mr. Lansley said, ‘New mothers should not be being put through the trauma of having to give birth in such inappropriate places.

While some will be unavoidable emergencies, it is extremely distressing for them and their families to be denied a labour bed because their maternity unit is full.

‘It shows the incredible waste that has taken place that mothers are getting this sort of sub-standard treatment despite Gordon Brown’s tripling of spending on the NHS.

‘Labour have let down mothers by cutting the number of maternity beds and by shutting down maternity units.’

But on the other side, Care Service Minster Phil Hope said the cause the woes for the NHS  is the number of women giving birth. Pregnancy is difficult  to estimate the time and place.

‘Local health services have plans to ensure high quality, personal care with greater choice over place of birth and care provided by a named midwife.

‘We recognise that some parts of the country face particular challenges due to the rising birth rate and that is why last year we pledged to increase funding for maternity by £330million over three years.

‘We now have more maternity staff than ever before and we have already met our target to recruit 1,000 extra midwives by September.
