On Tuesday morning, Nashville broke the all time record for July 21 at 58 Degrees. Breaking the previous record of 60 degrees set back in 1877. Bobby Boyd of the National Weather service say Nashville tied or broke records for low temperatures over the past three days. Other Tennessee saw cool temps but non broke records.

The images of Iran that Mahmoud Ahmendinjad and Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s pleasant Islamic Republic was worn off with in explosive interview with a Basij officer int he Jerusalem Post. In the interview the unnamed officer(identity concealed to protect him persecution). He tells of the his role in suppressing opposition including arresting teenagers and beating and raping them and in many instances execution.
The Basij officer also tells of releasing two teens a boy and a girls who were protesting the recent presidential elections which cause the officer to be arrested himself.
He goes into detail about “marrying” virgin girls who have charged with crimes against the Islamic Republic; the night before they are executed. Because Islamic law forbids the execution of virgins, These girls are “married” and raped by their “husbands” in the arraigned shammed weddings.
The Basji regrets his actions but he justifies it by saying he was doing his job and it was legal.

On Monday, Governor Schwarzenegger and Democratic Assembly Speaker Karen Bass and State Senate Leader Darrell Steinberg announced that budget crisis is over. The plan doesn’t raise major taxes, it borrows heavily from education at all levels (K-University/College), welfare, health care;prisons,state employee salaries; transportation projects.
It also uses accounting gimmicks such as deferments paycheck and education. Accelerate withholding on the job and raise up the estimated tax payment for business and the self-employed. The plan also call for the sale of the State Workers Compensation Board and assumes federal monies for Medi-Cal(a/k/a Medic-aid).
